Regulatory requirements for service providers
Chapter 2 of the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008 provides a framework for the delivery of water and sewerage services throughout Queensland. These provisions of the Water Supply Act were previously contained in Chapter 3 of the Water Act 2000. Chapter 2 of the Water Supply Act sets out certain requirements relating to water and sewerage service providers and the provision of services (water, sewerage and irrigation). These guidelines provide a basis for meeting some of the requirements under the Water Supply Act.
