Water quantity and quality monitoring networks
The department operates and maintains four ambient networks across the state to monitor surface and groundwater quantity and quality. These networks provide information on streamflow, groundwater level and the condition and trend of water resources to support water resource planning and water quality management. Read more about the surface and groundwater monitoring networks.
Streamflow data
The department’s streamflow data and historical monitoring data services are available via the Water monitoring data portal. Advantages of this data portal include navigation via a map interface to near real time data which can be downloaded, displayed as a table or plot, or generated as a report on personal computers. Streamflow data is also accessible from mobile devices via the Water monitoring data portal-mobile and for slow internet connections Water monitoring data portal-low bandwidth.
