Water licences
Improving delivery of water licensing
On 1 July 2009 improvements in the way water licensing is delivered has taken effect. The key changes and benefits include:
- payment of the annual water licence fee* being separated from the application process
- an expanded range of payment options
- licences can be issued for longer periods.
*The annual water licence fee is now separate and additional to, an application fee prescribed under the Water Regulation 2002 (Qld). View the current annual water licence fee.

The following licence application forms are relevant only to an entity provided for under section 206(4) of the Water Act 2000 (Qld). Under this section an entity is defined as: the State, a local government, a water authority, a resource operations licence holder, an interim resource operations licence holder, a petroleum tenure holder, or an entity prescribed under a regulation.
