Salinity Hazard Information Sheet Series

A salinity audit was conducted by the National Land and Water Resources Audit in 1999 to measure the extent of salinity across Australia. This audit identified that salinity currently affects an estimated 48,000 hectares of land in Queensland. By 2050, over three million hectares of land have the potential to become affected. The information sheets accompany the salinity hazard maps of the area.
