Elevation Contours - 10 metre interval - by Local Government Area - digital data for download
This dataset consists of contour features generated from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) 3 second Digital Elevation Model (DEM) with a ten metre contour interval. The radar does not penetrate thick vegetation and in such areas the contours generated represent the top of the canopy rather than bare earth. In lightly vegetated areas the contours represent bare earth. The accuracy in heavily vegetated areas may be at worst +-16m in the vertical. In open areas it may be at best +-5m.
