Application to assess a development application for operational work, reconfiguring a lot or material change of use of premises in a wetland protection area-if the application is for development for urban purposes

Queensland has the most diverse array of wetlands in Australia, providing many important ecosystem services. The Queensland Government under the Reef Plan has committed to a target of no net loss in the extent or condition of wetlands in Great Barrier Reef catchments by 2013. DERM will assess development impacts on wetlands of high ecological significance in GBR wetland protection areas. High impact earthworks will be assessed against the code in the Temporary State Planning Policy 1/10.
