Amendment application for an environmental authority for a chapter 5A activity (including petroleum activities) under the Environmental Protection Act
The supplementary annual fee (SAF) may also be payable. The SAF is the difference between the current annual fee and the annual fee for the amended activity and is only payable where the amended activity has a higher fee. The annual fee is the highest applicable from schedules 2, 5 or 6 of the Environmental Protection Regulation 2008. A chapter 5A activity project is a level 1 or 2 depending on the risk of environmental harm. An environmental authority (chapter 5A activities) is required for greenhouse gas and petroleum activities.
