Vegetation clearing application fee for an extractive industry where the area for clearing is in a key resource area, under the Vegetation Management Act
The clearing of native vegetation in Queensland is regulated by the Vegetation Management Act 1999. The Act sets down the rules and regulations that guide what clearing can be done, and how it must be done to meet the requirements of the law. The Department may be either the assessment manager or a concurrence agency for these applications. A fee is required for any vegetation clearing application that is for an extractive industry that is in a key resource area.
