Vegetation clearing application fee for establishing a necessary fence, firebreak, road or vehicular track, or for constructing necessary built infrastructure if the area for clearing is 5 hectares or more, under the Vegetation Management Act
The clearing of native vegetation in Queensland is regulated by the Vegetation Management Act 1999. The Act sets down the rules and regulations that guide what clearing can be done, and how it must be done. The Department may be either the assessment manager or a concurrence agency for these applications. A fee is required for any vegetation clearing application that is for establishing a necessary fence, firebreak, road or vehicular track, or for constructing necessary built infrastructure.
