Vegetation clearing application fee if it relates to control of non-native plants or declared pests, under the Vegetation Management Act
The clearing of native vegetation in Queensland is regulated by the Vegetation Management Act 1999. The Act sets down the rules and regulations that guide what clearing can be done, and how it must be done to meet the requirements of the law. The Department may be either the assessment manager or a concurrence agency for these applications. Vegetation clearing applications are free where the application is for the control of non-native plants or declared pests.
