Vegetation clearing application fee if it relates to a project declared to be significant under section 26 of the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act
Clearing of native vegetation in Queensland is regulated by the Vegetation Management Act 1999. The Act sets down the rules and regulations that guide what clearing can be done, and how it must be done. The Department may be either the assessment manager or a concurrence agency for these applications. A fee is required for any vegetation clearing application that is for a project declared to be significant under section 26 of the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971.
