Plan for the Monitoring and Mitigation of Blooms of the Cyanobacterium, Lyngbya majuscula, in South-east Queensland: 2010-2011
The aim of this contingency plan is to reduce the impacts of Lyngbya majuscula (Lyngbya) blooms on public health and the amenity and environmental values of the Moreton Bay Marine Park. The main features of this contingency plan include an early warning system of Lyngbya status, defined mitigation actions, communication with the local community and an outline of the roles and responsibilities of various agencies in the monitoring and mitigation of Lyngbya blooms within Moreton Bay.
