WM 126 - When the water licence fee is payable - WAM/2009/3877
The Water Regulation 2002 provides that a water licence fee is payable in respect of all water licences that authorise the taking of, or interference with, unsupplemented water, for each year of the period of the licence. This work practice provides guidance for determining when the water licence fee becomes payable and clarifying the differing arrangements that apply to the collection of licence fees according to whether applications were received before or on or after 1 July 2009.
